Perth Hills Discovery Centre is a small, well-appointed campground that is ideal for first-time campers and families with small children.
All 12 camp sites are suitable for small tents (up to 3m x 2.5m floor area) only. Vehicle parking is not immediately adjacent to tents: the car park is a short walk from the camp sites.
Campervans, camper trailers, caravans and larger tents cannot be accommodated.
The campground features an undercover area equipped with gas barbecues, fridge, kettle, picnic tables and benches and dishwashing sinks with hot and cold mains supply water.
Flush toilets, hand-wash basins and hot and cold water showers are provided.
Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood or purchase from the visitor centre.
When fire restrictions are in place campfires must not be lit and any appliance powered by burning solid fuel must not be used.
Campers´ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared (see Department of Fire and Emergency Services)
No fire outisde of the provided fire rings at any time.
There is no electric power supply to camp sites. Generators are not permitted.
Dogs are not permitted in Beelu National Park.
The campground is available for public camping every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and every night of the week during Western Australia school holidays. At other times it is reserved for school groups.
Online booking can be made up 180 days (approximately six months) in advance, for up to 12 persons and up to three camp sites. One person may not hold concurrent bookings. SAME DAY BOOKINGS CANNOT BE MADE, book at least one day in advance.
Ensure you have all details (including dates and number of campers), check all information and choose your camp site carefully, CHANGES CANNOT BE MADE TO CONFIRMED BOOKINGS.
Bookings for schools and larger groups cannot be made online. Contact the centre to enquire about availability, prices and conditions.
The visitor centre is open for firewood (in season), general visitor information and booking for Nearer to Nature´s fun, hands-on activities for kids of all ages for the general public and school groups and for group camping enquiries.
Monday to Thursday: 10am to 4pm
Friday: 10am to 3pm
Weekends and public holidays: closed

Bushwalking and mountain biking
Western Australia`s longest trails, the Bibbulmun Track for walkers and the Munda Biddi Trail for cyclists, pass, respectively, right alongside and close by the campground. Each is suitable for a short walk or ride to and from the campground for most ages and abilities.
The campground is very close to Mundaring Weir and expansive views over Lake CY O`Connor and the Helena Valley.
